at Arizona Western College

 

 

The AWC library have advantages over students that attend to this college, it provide all kinds of tools that students need, for example, to complete essay and others types of work. The location is easy for me to get there, since I have two classes in the LR building, I just pass by the library every time I need to work or print work. The book area have been a place where I usually pick books, magazines to read, books, are organized by alphabet order including the type of book. In addition, students are allow to take books they need for days, they just need a library ID. There are Yuma sun newspapers from 2002 to this date, if students need to know news form years ago. The first thing students notice when entering to the library, is that everything is well organize, and if they have questions about something they need, the library have many helpers that were be happy to answer you. The book area, also provide media, movies, documentaries that I can rent anytime I want. I addition, the size was big and choose from all kinds of books, as I visualize thearea, I could feel with no distracting and a bright light that make the area vivid.

Online learning, as we all know, is growing at a rapid rate and is revolutionizing education day by day. Having a computer lab in the library is the perfect environment in which to use technology fundamentally. As I walked into the AWC Library and to the computer lab I instantly noticed the quiet environment that surrounded it. There were a variety of resources available to every student at the school, including a number of computers. Although, it was quite crowded and not many computers will available at the time, the idea of placing computers in a library is strong and effective. A number of things could bring students into the library to use the resources available, such as the computers, like for research to do a project or as a place to study. Many students

struggle in school because they do not have internet access at home, the computer lab is an excellent alternative available to the students in need of internet access. Student, Lorena Matus, was brought into the library’s computer lab due to a project she was working on. She said, “I like to work on my projects and homework in the library’s computer lab because it is quiet and there are a variety of resources, not just computers. Also, there are the hundreds of books on different topics and other people that you can go to for help.” I advise any student in need of resources or internet access to pay a visit to the library’s computer lab for a great working environment. 

 

 

Have you ever needed a to study place at Arizona Western College? Probably Arizona Western College library study room is the right place. The study rooms at the AWC library can be reserved if you like or you just can walk in and get a study room if there available. Study rooms are a quiet place to learn; people cam go alone or in groups. The library has two types of room, big study room usually for groups and a small study room usually for individuals person. Inside each study room there a television, computer, pencils, chairs, and a desk. If ever need help from a librarian you can call them or email them or chat with a librarian. Even a student from AWC said, "the staffs members are very helpful and they sometimes give classes on how to use the library website. Additionally the study rooms very peaceful and can work

without too much noises"(Melissa). The study rooms has television if you need to see a documentary film or movie. The AWC library study rooms are very helpful especially to AWC student because they do not need to leave campus; I would definitely recommend the study rooms at AWC library.

 

The best part of AWC library study room is that you do not need a membership card or even pay for it. You can us your AWC library card. You can get your AWC library card by presenting your AWC student ID at the front desk in the library. First you will need a library card in order to get a study room. When you get a study room, you can only use it for two hours so its fair for other students.
